We specialise in management systems compliance & expert advice across a broad spectrum of standards, schemes & business improvement services, including customised training & assurance programs.

 

Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), the purpose of the Sales Team Manager is to:

  • Manage and lead a team of inside training and certification sales representatives, including the hiring of new resource in line with role expectations, coaching to drive the best performance and dealing with performance issues in a timely manner
  • Achieve team sales targets and specific strategic objectives, through effective planning, setting of individual goals and the analysis of performance data to implement actions where correction is needed
  • Continuously develop personal leadership, hiring, and training skills while ensuring the team is using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives.
  • Contribute to the team sales targets through the generation of leads, building and nurturing of client relationships

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Analytical and process-driven - Dealing with information from very many sources including facts & should be able to understand the cause of a particular business problem and design actionable ways to solve the issue to ensure their team achieve their KPI’s. forecast and work plan, including action plans with relevant departments to close any gaps and maximise any opportunities. 

Pipeline management skills

 Manage their teams’ pipeline & can predict the amount of business that their sales force will produce in the future. Their job is to make sure that enough business enters the pipeline in the proper month.

Coaching adaptability.  Understand that there is a diversity of selling styles by which salespeople can achieve success. Therefore, they don’t employ a one-size-fits-all coaching style. Rather, adapt your style to suit each individual. Coaching involves sales training that motivates the reps to work harder and step out of their comfort zones.

Ensure company processes are followed -at all stages of the sales journey by you and your team, including the correct use of CRM systems, proposal documents and the tools and systems provided to enable your team to operate effectively.

Proactively manage lead generation- for your area of responsibility, through close liaison with the marketing team and outbound sales activity of you and your team members.

Prepare and monitor account plans -for any named Major Account customers or targets in your area, ensuring the right focus and priority is given to successful implementation.

Manage underperformance – This should be actioned by development plans & PIP’s these will need focus & immediate action

Prepare for and contribute- to sales management meetings, including the production of sales and pipeline reports, performance summaries and updates on specific project actions.

Innovative and Strategic-The sales team’s goals must be aligned with the company’s growth strategy so that it’s easier to achieve their objectives. Sales leaders should visualize their team’s success together with their company’s growth.  Seek out new and innovative ways to achieve maximum results through efficient methods and by using less resources

Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:

Eliminate or minimise employee's exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LRQA activities.

Manage your own and your team's compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.

Technical/Professional Qualifications/Requirements

  • Essential – Minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, with a track record in achieving results
  • Essential – Ability to communicate fully in English for business purpose 
  • Desirable – Line management experience, with responsibility for a specific function, geography or both
  • Desirable – A good knowledge of the business assurance sector, particular in the areas of certification and 2nd party assurance programs
  • Desirable – A formal qualification in sales, business studies and/or a field related to business assurance
