The role


Nettitude is looking for an apprentice who has an investigative mindset, with the ability of storytelling with data.  Ideally you would have had exposure and be able explain the complex cyber threat landscape – complimented with a working knowledge of conducting research and analysis into ongoing threats.

The right candidate should be a highly motivated individual, who can work autonomously as well as working as part of team. You will be expected to use all opportunities to help rapidly improve your skillset, both technically and for softer skills working towards attaining entry level to mid-level industry certification such as the CREST CPTIA, CRTIA, or similar.

You will be given full support and special focus from more senior staff – which will allow you to progress, but emphasis is also placed on self-study and a desire to learn. Finally, you must be passionate about the threat landscape and technology and able to learn and understand new security solutions rapidly.



  • Learning to fully understand the global cyber threat landscape, identify risks and produce appropriate mitigation insight
  • Train on how to use various analytical techniques to assess and interpret intelligence data
  • Collaborating with the team and wider Nettitude business to understand and fulfil collection requirements
  • Developing skills for the validation of intelligence - evaluating the reliability of sources and credibility of information
  • Learning how to deliver information in formal reports or as presentations and desk-level briefings to internal and external clients
  • Maintaining threat actor profiles - geographic, sector and methodologies
  • Learn how to make predictions about future threat actor activities based on what is already known
  • Create threat intelligence reports that communicate the results of analysis
  • Be responsible for maintaining continued professional development


Key Skills and Experiences

The following are strong recommendations and in most cases prerequisites, for the role:

  • Knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used
  • A broad understanding of security technologies
  • Interpret and translate data customer requirements into operational action
  • Demonstrable technical and social skills
  • Demonstrable written and speaking English skills
  • Demonstrable interest in IT security either vocationally or hobbyist
  • Working knowledge of risk management - identification and evaluation
  • An interest in open-source investigations




This role is based in UK. Nettitude has a flexible remote working policy allowing employees to have a flexible hybrid working environment with regular remote working.



Key Skills & Requirements:


The following list of Academic requirements are pre-requisites for the role:


Standard entry:

  • Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-Levels/BTEC, etc)
  • OR, equivalent work experience (typically 2 years experience in a relevant role)



  • 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Experience using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar)


As an apprentice, we do not expect you to have decades of experience or hundreds of advanced certifications. Below is a list of skills that will come in useful.

Candidates must:


  • Be 18 or over before the start data and have the right to live and work in England
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
  • Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending June 2022 or later
