The role


There is an exciting opportunity for a presales engineer, or an individual experienced with managed security services, to join our Pre-sales team at Nettitude.

Using your experience, you will help our clients build out their cyber security strategies with the support of Nettitude’s subject matter experts. 


This role requires a highly motivated individual, who can work independently as well as working with our Sales, Technical, and Bid Management teams by delivering Pre-sales assistance. This will be delivered both onsite in front of clients, when appropriate, as well as remotely via teleconferencing.


You will have responsibility for assisting the sales team by conducting types of activities such as scoping engagements, providing technical expertise for clients, and being involved in bids and RFPs.

You must be personable and be able to work in harmony with all other personnel and to communicate in an open and courteous manner with colleagues and clients.





This role is remote. We can support working from across the UK. All applicants will require residence in the UK.



What you will be doing in your role:


  • Identifying client needs and reviewing their requirements to promote appropriate services that will help clients achieve their objectives.
  • Taking on technical pre-sales calls and meetings associated with managed security services.
  • Providing accurate scoping and pricing information for the sales teams, and for the SOC delivery consultants.
  • Establishing which managed services, such as SOC-as-a-Service or Managed EDR, would be appropriate for customers based upon their cyber security strategy.
  • Identifying new opportunities from understanding clients’ cyber security strategies and current maturity.
  • Constructing and presenting tailored presentations to clients based on their requirements.
  • Working closely with relevant Nettitude teams including the technical assurance teams, sales teams and the project delivery team.



Key skills:


Must have skills:

  • Having previous experience as a SOC/SIEM delivery consultant or in a previous capacity in a Presales role.
  • The ability to scope SIEM and EDR/EPP solutions.
  • Strong customer facing skills and being able to present technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills would be required. The ability to create and scope technical RFP documents for client tender responses.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to act as a Trusted Advisor to our customers.

Desirable skills:


  • Wide industry knowledge of the SOC marketplace.
  • Working knowledge of NDR and EDR/EPP tools.
  • The ability to scope Vulnerability Scanning services.
  • Working knowledge of the purpose of Threat Intelligence and some technical understanding of the tools available.
  • Awareness of public cloud services security tooling.
  • Presales or Technical certifications in Scanning, SIEM and/or EDR tooling would be advantageous.
