Job Responsibilities

As a  Contractor at Lloyd´s Register you will, working individually or as part of a team, verify management systems in the food industry. Qualifications and/or experiences in Aquaculture and Seafood Safety systems are a must. You will act as an expert and examine, as well as assess, the implementation of a management system for our clients' all around the country and/or abroad.  Your goal is to contribute to the improvement of a client’s overall aquaculture and food management system, provide an excellent service to the client and be knowledgeable about the requirements of the accreditation.
The broadening and deepening of the collaboration with our clients is also a great aspect of your job. Based on your expertise you will contribute to the development of our services.

Job Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant scientific field, examples of relevant degrees include: Food Science, Microbiology, Veterinary Medicine, Aquaculture, Biology, or Chemistry.
  • Qualifications as Lead Assessor in ISO9000 or ISO14000.
  • Qualification in Lead Assessor training course based on ISO 19011 (minimum duration of 37 hours).
  • Training in HACCP principles, either as part of formal qualifications or through the successful completion of a formal course based on the principles of the Codex Alimentarius.
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience with seafood processing plants. Experience may take the form of at least 4 years of direct plant experience and at least 2 years of continuous auditing experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience for farms and hatcheries. Experience in several systems and species are preferred.
  • Qualification for auditing in GGAP, ASC, BAP and MSC CoC is a big benefit.
  • 25 days of onsite audit experience in conducting audits, either for social or environmental compliance will be an advantage.
  • Additional qualification and experience in BRC Packaging and BRC Food and IFS will be considered.
  • Analytical approach with proactive attitude and assertiveness
  • Very good communication skills
  • Good command of English and local language both spoken and written.
