Reporting into the Salesforce Service Product Owner, the Salesforce Functional Architect is responsible for understanding business process, analysing business needs and creating requirements documents using Salesforce product knowledge and core Salesforce configuration (Sales/Service) and software features.


The role will support all aspects of the product work including: Business Projects, Internal Projects, Change and Unplanned Work. This role involves supporting solution design, configuration of, and overall functional implementation and usability of system.


This role acts as a liaison between technical and non-technical staff to ensure all deliverables meet the client's business needs and our highest standards. In addition, this role will understand the Agile Manifesto and be able to deliver work in line Agile Practices such as Scrum and Kanban.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Owner and team, business stakeholders and/or other internal projects and prepare requirements specifications, business processes and recommendation
  • Elicit functional requirements through various communication channels, including one-to-one discussions and workshops and translate them into appropriate use cases/user stories
  • Able to effectively support delivery of work using Agile Practice (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) within the Product Team for Business Projects, Internal Projects, Change and Unplanned Work.
  • Design, build, and deliver tailored Salesforce solutions for the business using Salesforce and other connected technologies
  • Provide consulting and coaching around best practices in Salesforce administration and implementation to enhance user experience
  • Collaborate with Product Owner and key stakeholders to continuously build, iterate, and improve existing or new processes and functions.
  • Accountable for delivery of internal/business project on Salesforce platform while ensuring the quality of delivery and keeping technical debt to a minimum
  • Regularly communicate work status to Product owner and senior management and elevate concerns through channels.
  • Regularly review Product Backlog with the Product Owner and identify system deficiencies and recommend simple and automated solutions to enable efficiencies in key areas of the business
  • Support the Product Owner in researching the Product roadmap and adoption, as well as associated technologies and methodologies, so as to achieve best performance.
  • Support the Product Owner to ensure that the product and any third-party applications complies with GDPR and other internal or external regulatory/security/audit requirements


To be considered

  • 3+ years experience of Salesforce implementations 
  • Salesforce Certified (Ideally: System Administrator, Sales and Service Could)
  • Strong Understanding of DevOps and Agile principles, Kanban and how to manage delivery of solution through Agile practices
  • Experience in gathering user requirements and user stories
  • Strong leadership and be able to get the best performance out of the varied teams
  • The natural ability to create a collaborative, team focussed and fun environment
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to tell stories, draw pictures and document the performance of your team effectively
  • Passion for doing things differently by challenging the norm and inspiring others to do the same through facilitating a culture of trust openness and honesty.
