What we’re looking for
As a part of this role, you will work at the Technical Support Office (TSO), which provides a worldwide Certification & design appraisal service to shipbuilders, ship owners, and manufacturers.
The purpose of this role is to perform design appraisal and certification services in accordance with the applicable international standards (MARPOL Annex II, IBC Code, etc) and to provide technical support to designers and operators of ships.

The role
- To perform design appraisal and certification services in accordance with the applicable international standards (MARPOL Annex II, IBC Code, etc) for Chemical & Product tankers new construction, and existing ships and Inland waterways (ADN).
- To build and maintain a good relationship with our clients and internal stakeholders;
- Conduct technical discussions and provide technical advice to internal and external clients.
- To discuss and present the deliverable with the internal/external client and be able to suggest solutions where appropriate.
- Coaching of less experienced colleagues and acting as a mentor to colleagues as agreed with the line manager.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
What you bring
- Bachelor or Master's degree in an engineering discipline or Marine service background with experience working on Chemical/ Product tankers and/or Inland Waterways vessels.
- Relevant Experience in the approval of ADN, MARPOL Annex II, and IBC code-related plans and certifications and/or experience/knowledge in the cargo handling or survey operations on board Chemical / Product tankers and/or Inland Waterways vessels is required.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, to prioritize work and meet LR and Clients’ deadlines, and to work effectively under pressure.
- Good skill to conduct technical conversations with clients and maintaining good relationships with clients with client focus mindset;
- Proficiency in the Dutch/German, and English Language commensurate with the work and demonstrating effective interpersonal skills
