What we’re looking for 

We are looking for talent to perform technical engineering assessments for service delivery for internal / external customers with regards to design review of Process Safety design documents against LR Rules and other applicable Codes and Standards and references.

The role :

  • To carry out technical inspections / assessments against defined specifications / scope that includes budget constraints and contractual requirements.
  • To produce a report / certificate / document to an agreed format and within an agreed timescale.
  • Data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Create and maintain technical file systems. Maintain computer databases. Provide administrative assistance as required.
  • To communicate customer feedback.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • To make suggestions to improve service delivery effectiveness through changes to processes or work scope such that it leads to a reduction in appraisal effort (where applicable).

 

What you bring 

 

  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register in Chemical Engineering or within other relevant fields of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme).
  • Proficiency in the English Language commensurate with the work.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Engineering basics, with understanding of design of the oil and gas and energy systems processes and associated aspects, and multidisciplinary understanding mainly regarding Electrical and Instrumentation, Fire and Safety, Mechanical, and Materials aspects. 
  • Familiarity and understanding of the relevant industry Codes and Standards, references, as well as procedures and practices of Classification, Certification, Verification, and Validation as applicable to respective design appraisal services with regards to the ocean economy industries' areas of operation.
  • To take trainings related to the competencies required for further development as per the defined training plan(s).
