Marine & Senior Surveyor

What are you going to do?

  • As a Marine Senior Surveyor, you will be focused on Ships in Service surveys and Material and Components in Algeciras and Gibraltar.
  • Possibly, you will also have to attend at other locations in the nearby such Cádiz or Huelva and even travelling to support other ports in Spain depending on the working load.
  • You will be working from home (home based) with the support of the reference office in Cádiz.
  • In this varied role you will work closely with our clients and provide advice. You will assess the in-service aspects of engineering assets, using procedures, experience and knowledge appropriate for routine situations. You are involved in direct surveys the use in a maritime or oil & gas at manufacturer’s works and periodical or initial inspections of manufacturer’s works. 
  • You present the deliverable to the client and are able to come up with solutions where needed.
  •  You work closely together with the local team and provide guidance where needed and further improve the way we work.

 Who are we looking for? (Technical / professional qualifications)

  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and/or relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship’s mechanical engineer.
  • experience in ships in service surveys;
  • wide range of authorisations to perform all types of surveys in all types of vessels. Preferably to have also authorisation to perform ISM, ISPS and MLC audits and will be valuable other audits authorisations covering ISO audits
  • Good level of English written and spoken and Spanish language not being mandatory however will be positively taken into account.
