We operate hybrid working, therefore, an opportunity to work from home is available, and on occasions you may be required to travel overseas.

As an international organisation, you will have good knowledge of the English language, oral and written.

The role

  • Perform classification and statutory surveys onboard existing and new build ships per Lloyd's Register Rules & Regulations, statutory instruments, and respective codes, as well as surveys of marine materials, equipment, and components at manufacturers' works.
  • Carry out reporting in an accurate and timely manner and ensure that the reporting is technically and legally correct.
  • Offer extensive advice and applicable consultancy in areas of the modern marine industry.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Lead surveys on specific high-risk activities.

 

What you bring

  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd's Register in marine engineering or naval architecture.
  • Working experience from classification, shipping companies, or the shipbuilding industry.
  • An awareness of the marine business environment in the onboard work, developing existing business, and reaching for new opportunities.
  • A good knowledge of the English a language and the ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written). Knowledge of Dutch and French is an advantage.
  • To be IT literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package.
  • An EU driver's license for personal cars (B-license) as a minimum.
