What we’re looking for  

 

  • To play a key role in turning commercial wins into accurate, reliable business and financial information. 
  • The Commercial Governance Specialist manages the final governance checks and closure of sales opportunities in Salesforce and updates ATQs to support financial reporting. Working closely with Sales and Finance across the global business, the role ensures that opportunity data is accurate, commercial requirements have been met and issues are resolved quickly. 
  • Through regular contact with commercial and financial information, the role is also well placed to identify recurring issues and support improvements to processes, data quality and ways of working.

The role 

 

  • Manage the review and closure of sales opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring that commercial information, approvals and supporting documents are complete and meet agreed governance requirements. 
  • Update ATQs accurately, helping ensure that commercial performance is correctly reflected in financial reporting. 
  • Protect the quality and integrity of commercial data by identifying errors, resolving inconsistencies and ensuring records provide a reliable view of business performance. 
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance and other stakeholders across the global business to resolve queries, remove barriers and support the timely completion of opportunities. 
  • Manage governance cases with little supervision, applying thoughtful judgment to solve issues and escalating complex matters as appropriate
  • Use experience from day-to-day activities to identify recurring issues and support improvements to processes, guidance, training, reporting and ways of working. 

 

 

What you bring (Qualification & Skillsets)  

 

  • Experience in commercial operations, sales operations, finance, data management or a related area. 
  • Experience of using Salesforce or a similar CRM system. 
  • A meticulous focus on detail and a commitment to maintaining precise, trustworthy records
  • Ability to review commercial and financial information, identify issues and work with others to resolve them. 
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet agreed deadlines. 
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across different teams and locations. 
  • Ability to apply sound judgement, manage issues and know when escalation is required
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word. 
  • A forward-thinking approach to learning, problem-solving, and ongoing improvement
