We are currently looking for someone to strengthen our team in Athens - Greece.


What will you do    
As an Inspector you are part of a team of passionate technicians. You will independently visit various Lloyd's Register customers and use your experience to check their assets against relevant standards. On the basis of national and international laws and regulations, customer specifications you will inspect, approve or - assess installations, parts of installations, reparations and / or products. This can involve new construction or existing in-service installations.
Your main requirements will be:

  • To perform assessments and provide advice for service delivery within agreed parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
  • To produce the deliverable within the agreed parameters in a defined format.
  • To discuss/present the deliverable with the external client and be able to assess alternative solutions where appropriate.
  • Undertake routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures
  • To assess/ recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an external client within an agreed fee/cost structure and issue quotations up to an agreed limit and Lloyd’s Register’s standard terms and conditions (e.g. Commercial Notice)


What do we ask from you 

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university;
  • To use a combination of general specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to optimise the application of the existing and emerging technology
  • To be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to analyse and solve engineering problems
  • To provide technical and commercial leadership within the assigned responsibilities
  • Based on the local and international rules and legislation, to inspect, assess customers installations, parts of installation, repairs; this will involve new construction or in-service installation.
  • Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work and fluency in the local language (Greek).
