Are you a senior undergraduate or a recent graduate in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, eager to tackle the decarbonization and performance challenges in the maritime industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Join us as an Assistant Specialist in our Advisory Services (Maritime Performance Services - MPS) team at Lloyd's Register (LR), where you'll play a key role in driving innovation and sustainable solutions.

The Role :

 

As part of your role, you will be providing specific decarbonization and performance related services to our clients, working with the LR Athens MPS Advisory team. You will be collaborating with the LR wider MPS community as well as with Plan Approval, Technical and Regulatory teams and the Commercial community.  You will be communicating directly with the LR parties involved and our valued customers, contributing in the LR commitment to be a trusted advisor.
 

What you bring 

 

  • A University degree at the field of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
  • Computer literacy and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Working command (written and oral) in English language using relevant professional terminology.

 You are someone who:

 

  • Communicates in a structured way and has ability to present technical ideas in simple way
  • Has ability to communicate effectively across levels both internally and externally.
  • Has drive for results, solution focused thinking and is keen to take accountability and ownership for delivering customer needs.
  • Can self-manage and prioritize tasks towards achieving goals
  • Demonstrates initiative and proactiveness and has flexibility adjusting your approach when necessary.
  • Has good planning and process management skills (scopes the length and difficulty of tasks; sets objectives and goals; breaks down work into process steps)
  • Has perseverance in the face of obstacles
  • Excellent professional people skills to improve performance across the area of business.
  • Displays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment and ability to work both independently and as part of a team with colleagues in person and around the world.
  • Is customer focused and driven to achieve excellent customer service.
