The role

As a Technical Training Specialist, you will play an important role in helping colleagues build their knowledge and skills. You will design and deliver engaging learning solutions, partner with stakeholders to understand capability needs, and contribute to training programmes that support both individual development and organisational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and deliver technical training that helps employees grow, succeed in their roles, and meet evolving business needs
  • Partner with teams and subject matter experts to understand learning needs and shape practical, effective training solutions
  • Create clear and accessible learning materials, including facilitator guides, learner resources, presentations, and digital content for virtual and in-person delivery
  • Review and refresh training content so it remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with current processes, systems, and standards
  • Use feedback, assessment data, and performance insights to evaluate learning activities and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Build collaborative and positive relationships through clear communication and responsive support for learners and stakeholders
  • Help create learning experiences that are safe, inclusive, and aligned with organisational policies and continuous improvement practices

 

What We are Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys helping others learn, values collaboration and inclusion, and brings clear communication and a strategic approach to capability development across diverse teams.

 

What you bring

  • Experience in technical training, instructional design, learning delivery, capability development, or a related area
  • An understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them in practical, engaging, and supportive ways
  • The ability to create and adapt learning materials for different audiences, formats, and levels of technical knowledge
  • A collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and turning business needs into effective learning solutions
  • Clear communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to support people from a range of backgrounds and experiences
  • The ability to plan work, manage priorities, and coordinate learning activities in an organised and effective way
  • Experience with learning technologies such as learning management systems, virtual learning tools, or digital content platforms is required
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and ongoing professional development
  • Awareness of health and safety practices and a responsible approach to risk management
