Role Purpose:

A passion for Business Development in a technical environment, getting energy from acquiring new business and building strong and durable relationships with customers, that’s what Business Development Specialist for LRQA's looks like.

Are you an experienced and ambitious Business deveopment manager who is able to really understand the needs of a customer? Are you able to convert this understanding in a customized solution? Do you get energy from gaining new business, grow current business or follow up on leads? Is it one of your strengths to connect people and create strong business relationships? What are you going to do?

Because of your strong commercial awareness you will acquire new business and expand the business of current clients. You will grasp every lead to get new contracts. Your capability to understand the client’s needs is key to your success. You will use your knowledge and the knowledge of the team to do everything you can to help your client. As account manager you will act as the interface between external clients, customer service and service delivery teams to ensure we develop services, marketing and sales strategies which are relevant to each specific client group. This so that we can grow the life time value of our existing clients and maintain our high end brand positioning.

With your passion for technology, and knowledge of the Inspection Services sector, you feel comfortable operating in a technical environment. Having predefined sales targets is where you feel comfortable with; it gives you the ambition and motivation to do everything you can to reach these goals.

You will work closely together with a salesteam in the UK &I and will be responsible for business development within the Northern area off the UK.

What do we ask from you?

  • At least 5 years commercial experience
  • A commercial Bachelor degree, with preferably sales experience in manufacturing/ power/downstream industry sectors
  • Result oriented, assertive, flexible and enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a “can do” attitude and the ability to work under pressure
  • Team player with skills to work effectively in a global environment with colleagues from different cultures
  • Focused on results, commitment to deliver
  • Strong external focused
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record to build strategic client relationships
  • Fluent in English
