We specialise in certification & verification across a broad spectrum of sectors including Nuclear, Low Carbon, Renewables, Utilities, Oil & Gas, New build & In-Service with particular focus on safety critical equipment.

The Role

Reporting into the Area Operations Manager, you will lead the UK&I Sales team to meet and exceed their targets, working closely with marketing to generate and follow up lead campaigns. You will work closely with the Area Operations Manager & Commercial Manager to implement the global Sales Strategy at a local level, through motivation, coaching and development of your team, maximising sales opportunities, continuously improving the quality of sales processes and customer experience whilst enabling the digitalisation of the sales process.


You Will:

  • Lead a results’ driven sales team by example, through the management and the delivery of agreed team sales targets and objectives for you and your team.
  • Lead, manage, coach and develop teams to build capacity and capability through recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent/succession planning, training and development to build and sustain a high-performance sales culture.  In particular, ensuring that clear development plans are in place for team members using our Sales Competency Framework and global ways of working.
  • Ensure company processes are followed at all stages of the sales journey by you and your team, including the correct use of CRM systems, proposal documents and the tools and systems provided to enable your team to operate effectively.
  • Proactively manage lead generation for your area of responsibility, through close liaison with the marketing team and the service delivery support teams.
  • Be responsible for ensuring up to date and accurate sales pipeline information in the relevant CRM system, including the proper recording of all tasks, customer communications and follow up actions, enabling an accurate forecast and work plan, including action plans with relevant departments to close any gaps and maximise any opportunities.
  • Prepare and monitor account plans for any named Major Account customers or targets in your area, ensuring the right focus and priority is given to successful implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with critical accounts in your area of responsibility, working with team members to ensure the right level of attention and involvement.
  • Prepare for and contribute to sales management meetings, including the production of sales and pipeline reports, performance summaries and updates on specific project actions.
  • Actively monitor and feedback via the Area Operations Manager, market trends and activity, competitor updates and specific opportunities for growth that you feel are relevant for the business.


You Will Need:

  • Essential:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, with a track record in achieving results

Ability to communicate fully in English for business purposes

Be proficient in standard IT programmes including Microsoft Excel and Salesforce


  • Desirable:

Line management experience with responsibility for a specific sales function.

A good knowledge of the Inspection sector, specifically the areas of 3rd Party certification and 2nd party assurance programs

A formal qualification in sales, business studies and/or field related experience within inspection and assurance.
