We are seeking individuals with E&I Surveyor background to be based onsite at client yard for the Topsides construction and pre-commissioning activities helping our customers construct & operate their assets to the highest levels of safety & performance. Have proficiency in managing site team which may be a part of the role.

The role 

  • Site Lead & Field Surveyor (IVB), ensuring adherence to project specifications, requirements, and timelines. Deliver project requirements as outlined, maintaining alignment with project goals and objectives. Safeguard the confidentiality of all project-related information, refraining from sharing any details outside the organization.
  • Understanding the principles of UK Offshore legislation/ EU Offshore Safety Directive and application to IVB site surveillance activities during the construction and pre-commissioning phases.
  • Conduct relevant IVB Survey activities in accordance with the project requirements scope, timely completion of survey reports and discussions with client representatives as required, site progress reporting and maintenance of reporting and findings trackers, site management and provide advice/ support for service delivery within own area of expertise, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and contractual requirements.
  • Produce deliverables in accordance with agreed schedules, budgets, and quality levels, utilizing appropriate formats/ project templates. Take responsibility for reviewing and monitoring the work of other employees/ Surveyors/ Inspectors as requested.
  • Discuss and present deliverables to internal and external clients, offering suggestions and solutions as necessary.
  • Perform activities in alignment with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue Continuous Professional Development to maintain a high level of discipline, knowledge, and awareness.
  • Assess or recommend the time and value of work to clients
  • Mentor and coach other employees as appropriate, promoting effective knowledge transfer and application.
  • Contribute to external client management, continually improving service delivery through proactive monitoring and acting on client feedback appropriately.
  • Ensure that the necessary LR authorizations are obtained and kept up to date, which may involve Activity Monitoring.
  • Undertake routine administration tasks as required, following current processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to project requirements and timelines.

 

What you bring 

  • The ideal candidate should possess a degree or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution in the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years program) preferably in the field of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) recognized by Lloyd's Register.
  • Be safe in what you do, living and promoting Lloyd`s Register's safety culture.
  • Sufficient knowledge to obtain authorisations to enable survey of electrical and mechanical SECEs.
  • Preferred experience of verification (IVB - UK OSCR / EU Offshore Safety Directive) and engineering experience with a working knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to the offshore/energy business stream.
  • A proven track record of relevant transferable skills and experience, site leadership and management skills.
  • Inspirational, motivational skills, demonstrate self-motivation to achieve own performance objectives.
  • Technically strong, with good communication skills and a willingness to find solutions, the role requires confidence in making decisions, sometimes under pressure, and an understanding of the commercial aspects of the work.
  • Be a self-starter. Displays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with colleagues in person.
  • Membership in an appropriate professional institution.
  • Working towards or having achieved chartered or incorporated engineering status.
  • Commitment to working in accordance with professional codes of conduct and the LR Code of Ethics as outlined in IMS01.
  • Ability to utilize a combination of general and specialized engineering knowledge and understanding to apply both existing and emerging technologies.
  • Capability to provide technical and commercial management, such as project management and process management.
  • Proficiency in the English language at a level commensurate with the work requirements.
