●        Focusing on our different customer needs to accelerate growth

●        Using technology as a key enabler of our value proposition both from a service capability and customer experience perspective, and to drive operational excellence

●        Building a flexible resourcing model to support the growth and drive profitability to our target levels

●        Increasing the pace of Acquisitions to accelerate growth and re-balance the business towards faster growing sectors, particularly Food and Cyber Security

 

 

The training market offers huge growth potential for LR. The current global revenue from training is £15m per year with growth rates of circa 3%.  We are looking for a Head of Marketing for Training and BIS to support the business to:

 

  • Realise the growth benefits of account based marketing through focusing on our key sectors of food, cyber security and energy management, so that we increase our sales of specific training solutions/modules and academies for our key accounts
  • Respond to customer needs through developing timely bespoke solutions based on e-learning and training management systems
  • Ensure we defend our traditional core certification market with standard CTS products, enhanced by our new e-learning capabilities allowing our customers the flexibility to buy our products through their preferred delivery channels (face to face, e-learning virtual or blended)

 

This role will interface between the Heads of Marketing for Compliance, Customised Assurance, Area Marketing and internal delivery teams

 

 

Role Purpose:

 

This role will be responsible for:

 

·       Building the marketing strategy and plan to support the growth of our Client Training and Business Improvement products and services

·       Providing client and market insight to support product, service and client communications

·       Segmenting, targeting and positioning our training and BIS services

·       Interfacing with the commercial and delivery teams to ensure marketing alignment on lead generation, cross-selling and retention

·       Working with the Heads of Marketing for Compliance, Assurance and Area marketing to create impactful and relevant campaigns/client communication programmes

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

           Strategy Development

·       Determine optimised market model and client value proposition through market research and intelligence

·       Ensure our products and service delivery are meeting current and future market demands ensuring we are innovative and professional  

 

            Leadership/Capability Development

·       Working with global colleagues in marketing and sales ensure our capabilities are effectively co-ordinated to ensure the successful delivery of our global growth strategies

·       Collaborate closely with the Innovation Director to ensure an appropriate value-added portfolio of products is available and commercially viable for the identified strategic growth sectors

 

             Business Development

·       Review our current offer across all aspects of our services (Assurance business, Second Party, and Inspection) and develop our service proposition into one seamless offer

·       Oversee the development and execution of business development plans, from lead identification through to sales activities and deal closure, targeting specific geographies and growth markets

·       Agree the sales and marketing plans and targets to drive the achievement of forecasts so that growth objectives are achieved within agreed budgets

·       In collaboration with the Marketing Director and Head of Global Training and Business Improvement Services ensure alignment on OKRs for marketing activity

·       Review and analyse sales/marketing performance against agreed plans to determine effectiveness act as the feedback loop to ensure the capability of the team is developed to meet the future

         needs of the business

·       Through the analysis of customer needs identify and recommend development of new products and services – champion technology and innovation to develop new markets/businesses

·       Functionally drive growth in identified strategic growth markets and ensure these sectors have the appropriate growth focus, sales and delivery capabilities and resources

·       Develop and maintain a catalogue of potential partnerships/collaboration for our training services

 

Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:

 

· Eliminate or minimise employee's exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment and ensuring

   health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LR activities

·  Manage your own and your team's compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are

   available to work safely

·  Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventive action as necessary and suggesting and implementing

   improvement activities
