If you think certification and assurance of manufacturing processes, facilities and supply chains sounds a little safe, you’d be right. In fact, for Lloyd’s Register clients, it’s as safe as we can possibly make it.

As a career move, it’s anything but.

It takes bravery, creativity and intelligent problem-solving to find solutions for a global client-base with large, complex manufacturing, supply chain and distribution operations. If you’re a senior sales strategist looking for a new direction, this is a role with rewards to match your imagination: unlimited.

Where you fit in

You’ll be part of Business Assurance, our well-reputed, world-leading professional assurance services organisation. We are management systems compliance experts, advising customers on a broad spectrum of standards, schemes and business improvement services, including customised training and assurance programs. We pride ourselves on really understanding our customer’s needs and providing innovative solutions to meet them.

If you think it sounds challenging, you’d be right – but with our world-class onboarding – able to audit programs based on all the agreed requirements and SLAs - and tailored training solutions, you’ll be up to speed and ready to engage in no time.

What you’ll do

We’ll give you a roster of existing and targeted Key Customers and a brief to grow their business. You’ll do that by getting close to clients and understanding their business – close enough to pre-empt problems as well as finding solutions for the challenges they present to you. With persistence and intelligence, you’ll become a valued partner; an extension of their team.

There are very few boundaries to what you can achieve. This is a new, ambitious team that’s drawn its own roadmap. We’ve already expanded our initial focus on food to target business in a variety of BAIS sectors, right across Europe. You’ll enjoy plenty of autonomy plus the freedom to work where and when it suits you best – we’ve been a champion of flexible working for many years now. There’s also a commission structure that truly recognises and rewards performance. The sky’s the limit.

About you

We’re open minded about where you are now. You could be working in IT or Info Security or in a service sector sales role. We’re also keen to talk to people working for the Big 4 or selling consultancy services.

Across our business, we work with integrity and a strong sense of purpose, so you’ll need to convince us that you’re a credible and collaborative professional. We’re looking for as many of the following as possible:

  • Experience working with large organisations in Europe selling customised solutions in a similar B2B environment.
  • A record of developing intelligent sales solutions underpinned by technical insight.
  • Success developing contract values, through year-on-year growth
  • Ability to manage quotations, bids and proposals, using smart pricing strategies to achieve the required margin.
  • The people skills to prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations to a C-suite audience.

Why join us

  • You will be part of an independent organisation with a strong purpose – one that’s guided by principles, not just profit.
  • Big company benefits including 25 days’ holiday, private health cover, competitive pension scheme, LR colleagues’ discount scheme, and access to a Learning Academy with thousands of learning opportunities including access to LinkedIn Learning.
  • Work-life balance. We’ve been working flexibly and at home for years; we’re really good at it.
  • The scale of our business and depth of our expertise creates experiences you won’t find elsewhere.  Our top-ten customers turn over a collective £300 billion pa – how’s that for responsibility?
  • A world of opportunity. Succeed in this role and there are so many different, interesting routes for you to explore.
