We started out in 1760 as a marine classification society. Today, we’re one of the world’s leading providers of professional services for engineering and technology – improving safety and increasing the performance of critical infrastructures for customers in over 75 countries worldwide. The profits we generate fund the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a charity which supports engineering-related research, education and public engagement around everything we do. All of this helps us stand by the purpose that drives us every single day: Working together for a safer world.

Our Business Assurance business is a recognised, world-leading professional assurance services organisation. We specialise in management systems compliance & expert advice across a broad spectrum of standards, schemes & business improvement services to include customised training & assurance.

Have you been planning and allocating resources to projects in a professional services organisation? A job where the skills of the employees you allocate make a difference, and the advance timetable of the work needs to be communicated a long way in advance?

We are looking for experienced planning advisors to proactively plan the assessments and audits our customers need to keep their ISO certification on track.  Our customer audits are business critical and happen every year. Our assessors for the audits need to have the right skills and a suitable geographic location. Once you have learnt the rules we operate to, you will be working intensively with our assessors and our customers’ Quality Managers to organise suitable, efficient audit schedules, maximising the utilisation of assessors while adhering to a complex set of procedures and guidelines.

We need someone who is well organised, has great attention to detail and is a relentless solver of logistical problems and challenges. You need to be able to handle complexity, fast moving changes, and a busy workload.  If this sounds like you, then apply today.

The Senior Planner opportunity is a fixed term contract for 12 months
