Service Delivery Technical Assistant / Administrator

Bremerhaven - Full-Time / Hybrid Role / Fixed-Term - 6 Month



The role


As part of Lloyd’s Register operations you support colleagues and customers in Germany and worldwide.

Ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our assigned clients – whether internal and external - you will combine your technical skills with your talent for motivating yourself and others and managing systems and requierements.


You will:


  • Understand that we are responsible for the quality of the support we provide to clients and colleagues - it is a team effort from start to finish


As an Service Deliverey Technical Assistant (SDTA) you will be a central point of contact for our surveyors and clients. The most common tasks you will undertake will include:


  • Allocating control nos., setting up the job files on Sharepoint adding all relevant emails and documents (incl. archiving)
  • Issuing the “Request for Marine Services”
  • Quote in SAP - Business by Design (ByD)
  • Issue of material and component certificates and reports and provide the client with the certificate
  • Add electronic submitted documents for jobs to the relevant electronic job folder
  • Document Monitoring
  • Close cooperation with SDTA in CEA (Central Europe – Germany, Poland, Ukraine and Czech Republic) to work on work packages and alignment of administrative processes and for mutual support and knowledge exchange
  • Other tasks related to SD support maybe added as the role developsContact person for our customers in case of queries regarding ship inspections and prepared documents
  • Responsibility for administrative matters in the area of general office organisation


You will need:


  • Proficiency in the German and English language (spoken and written)
  • Professional administrative education or equivalent
  • Strong team-work attitude and willingness to support team-members and SD-colleagues in their tasks
  • Good cooperation and communication skills
  • Responsive and pro-active
  • Strong customer orientation
  • PC-literate; MS Office, incl. Access
  • Structured and well-organized working style, attention to detail and data correctness
  • Excellent cooperation and communication skills with own team and with other internal and external stakeholders
  • You are used to working on your own initiative and acting responsibly and have high quality standards
  • You enjoy a varied job and working in an international organisation with colleagues from different cultures.
  • Ability to work with professional business systems
  • Previous experience of SAP ByD would be preferable
  • Flexibility as the role develops




  • Weekly Hours - 36h / Monday - Friday

MUST have: Authorization/permit to work in the respective country (you are free to work in Germany) if you have the nationality of a country that is part of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland.
