Lloyd’s Register has been supplying inspection and assurance services to the global nuclear industry since the 1950’s. In 2010 we started working on the HPC project in the UK – the first new civil nuclear power station in the UK this Century. Our team continues to grow and we have an exciting new opportunity to join our existing team.

The role will review, converge and approve manufacturing documentation and information for the high integrity mechanical components being procured for the UK EPR® The successful individual will attend meetings, both physically and web-based.

The role includes technical review and elements of client and stakeholder relationship management.

 

Role Purpose:

 

The role will review, converge and approve manufacturing documentation and information for the high integrity mechanical components being procured for the UK EPR® for Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station.

The successful individual will review and comment on manufacturing documentation and attend meetings, both physically and web-based to communicate findings and converge on amendments required to support approval.  

The role includes technical review and elements of client and stakeholder relationship management.

Candidates require experience of writing and/or reviewing manufacturing documentation e.g. Quality Plans, Welding Procedures, NDE procedure etc. against the requirements of defined standards and referential. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Review manufacturing documentation to specification and internal guidance
  • Maintain and develop relationships at peer level within the client
  • Update the LRA service delivery team ensuring communication and understanding of progress and opportunities
  • Represent Lloyd’s Register Apave at external meetings as required

 

To be considered

  • Excellent communicator in English
  • A science or engineering degree
  • Membership of an appropriate engineering institution
  • Knowledge of nuclear design codes
  • Experience of document review and approval
  • Ability to communicate in French would be an advantage
