What we’re looking for

we are seeking to add a surveyor to our team who will support our expanding business in the West Coast region (West Coast CANADA).

The primary focus for this role will be to support existing ship surveys in the area, for both domestic and foreign flag vessels. This role is office based and in Vancouver office.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced Existing Ship Senior Surveyor with authorizations for Passenger Ships, ISM/ISPS, MLC and ISO standards.

The role

  • You will support existing ship surveys in the area, for both domestic and foreign flag vessels.
  • You will pursue continuous professional development to remain fully knowledgeable about the technical considerations that are pertinent to our clients.
  • You will assess all risks and work in a safe manner at all times, reporting in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations.

 

What you bring

  • 4 years minimum work experience as an Existing Ship Surveyor for an IACS classification society.
  • A degree or equivalent within a relevant field of study such as marine engineering
  • Current authorizations for Passenger Ship Safety, ISM/ISPS, MLC, ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 would be highly valuable.
  • Intermediate or advanced experience using MS Office suite of products: Word, Excel, Outlook
