What we’re looking for 

We are looking for professionals with the ability to perform a technical review of Special survey reports for ESP ships, adhering to the ESP code, LR Rules, and IACS procedures. This process involves preparing Condition evaluation reports based on our own knowledge and experience, particularly for routine situations.

The role 

  • Conducting technical reviews of special survey reports within the ESP section, ensuring adherence to the ESP code, LR Rules, LR procedures, and IACS procedures, all within agreed time frames.
  • Generating Condition evaluation reports for ESP Ships in specified formats, meeting predetermined deadlines and quality standards. Prioritizing urgent cases to align with client expectations.
  • Facilitating discussions on technical review issues with attending Surveyors, technical Supervisors, and team members, proposing suitable solutions.
  • Performing tasks in accordance with LR internal procedures while upholding output quality to the expected standard.
  • Engaging in Continuous Professional Development to uphold a high level of discipline, knowledge, and awareness.
  • Undertaking routine administrative duties as necessary, following established processes and procedures.

 

 

What you bring 

  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary institution recognized by Lloyd’s Register in the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years program), or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution coupled with relevant sea-going experience as a certified ship’s officer.
  • Working towards or having achieved chartered or incorporated engineering status.
  • Commitment to working in accordance with professional codes of conduct and the LR Code of Ethics as outlined in IMS01.
  • Utilization of a blend of general and specialized engineering knowledge to apply both existing and emerging technology.
  • Capability to employ appropriate theoretical and practical methodologies in the design, development, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of engineering products, processes, systems, and services.
  • Proficiency in the English language at a level commensurate with the demands of the job.
