What we are looking for
- This is an opportunity to join an established team responsible for generating and developing LRs Data. In the role you will make use of the data sets from within LR and from external sources to provide intelligence that supports the assessment of support compliance and risk for ships in LR Class. This is significant opportunity to help shape LRs digital future utilising the latest analysis and AI tools.

The Role
- Ensure Port State Control (PSC) inspection and detention data is accurately recorded and maintained up to date to
- support LR and client performance reporting.
- Analyse PSC data to provide insight into LR’s performance against IACS members, assimilating data from internal
- and external sources.
- Analyse sanctions data to identify owners, managers, and vessels requiring action, including developing methods
- to detect suspicious vessel activity and conducting case-by-case investigations.
- Analyse LR and external datasets to assess technical risk across approximately 9,000 assets within the LR In
- Service fleet and support development of analytical tools for business decision-making.
- Provide ship and fleet PSC and FSC performance analysis to clients and internal stakeholders, including delivering
- presentations and data visualisations at client meetings.
- Provide subject matter expertise on the manipulation and analysis of large, complex, and diverse datasets.
- Maintain and continuously monitor analytical tools and BI reports to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and operational reliability.
- Enhance and optimise BI reports and analytical tools to improve functionality, usability, and alignment with evolving business requirements.
What you bring
- A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering, data science, data analytics, or physical science (minimum of two years programme).
- In depth knowledge of MS tools including excel, power BI, databases, SQL.
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
- Proficiency in the English Language commensurate with the work.
- Substantial proven experience and knowledge of Data Analysis, Data Aggregation, Manipulation as an analyst or business support professional.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI) to create impactful reports and visualizations.
