Naval Commercial Manager – Middle East

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Naval Commercial Manager to lead profitable business growth for Lloyd’s Register in the Middle East. You will be accountable for delivering LR’s commercial targets for the naval business, acting as the principal point of contact for naval clients and stakeholders across the region.
Your focus will be on developing and maintaining senior-level relationships with designers, builders, owners/operators, and regulators, ensuring LR is competitively differentiated in the market. You will also provide commercial direction and mentorship to colleagues, contributing to the development of Naval service offerings and achieving both personal and organisational sales targets.
Key responsibilities

Develop and implement LR’s Middle East strategy to achieve revenue, margin, sales, technical development, brand positioning, and market share objectives.

Provide strategic direction and oversight across key internal stakeholders.

Build and maintain relationships at senior leadership and executive levels with naval and government clients.

Directly manage key new and existing naval and government clients.

Provide commercial guidance to colleagues and technical teams to develop naval service offerings.

Monitor and review sales performance and competitor activity, delivering account plans and forecasts to meet targets.

Required skills and qualifications

Tertiary-level education recognised by LR.

More than 10 years’ experience at senior organisational levels with a thorough understanding of the naval business and its stakeholders.

Membership in an appropriate professional institution; chartered, incorporated, or professional engineer status is an asset.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders at executive leadership levels.

Strong commercial awareness, account planning, and forecasting skills.

Proven solution selling and negotiation expertise.

Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional and internal teams.
