Client Data Reporting Specialist

The Role:

The Client Data & Reporting Specialist – Customised Assurance role is a member of the Technology and Innovation team for BA-IS and is responsible for the quality and accuracy of the data and reporting within Customised Assurance. This role will support the needs of the business to better manage their operational and client data.  


The Data and Reporting Specialist works with the Digital Business Partner – Customised Assurance to define the data management and reporting requirements for the Customised Assurance business. This role will engage with the business to help them shape and manage the portfolio of reporting and data requirements, and will focus on data quality, accuracy, optimisation and platform requirements to support the business and their clients.


You Will:

  • Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of data and reporting systems and processes within Customised Assurance. This includes ensuring compliance with LR’s group policies including GDPR
  • Ensures the effective & timely management and closure of 2nd line data and reporting support requests through the appropriate ticketing systems to minimise impact on the operations of the wider business
  • Delivers the reporting and data change requests to the business for the benefit of clients
  • Supports the Business Data & Reporting Specialist to improve the data quality of operational and client reports to assist users in managing their short-term and longer-term workload and supports managers at all levels to make better strategic and operational decisions
  • Works with the Digital Business Partner – Customised Assurance, the Global Head of Client Configuration & Onboarding, and Client Configuration Specialists to build business data & reporting capabilities
  • Is a subject matter expert and has a detailed understanding of the data and reporting systems within Customised Assurance
  • Liaises with the Customised Assurance Enablement Lead and relevant business teams to identify training requirements, system improvements or improved work processes to improve data adoption, understanding and reporting
  • Liaises with the Configuration Specialists in the onboarding team, Technical Account Managers (TAM’s) & attend client meetings as required, to understand & address customer requirements and/or concerns
  • Drive engagement with data and reporting in Customised Assurance to ensure that all employees understand and are engaged with data accurately and securely in line with business and strategic objectives


You will need:

  • Minimum of 3 years IT experience with 2 years SQL, including experience with Stored Procedures and functions. Experience in ETL, involving data I/O from varied sources; csv, excel, flat file. Preferable, experience with MS cloud platforms; Sharepoint and Azure
  • The ability to understand and assess complex and sometimes unfamiliar situations, visualise solutions and see through to resolution and work effectively within a matrix organisation
  • A proven track record in design, development and support of information management systems
  • Results oriented, assertive, flexible and enthusiastic team player with a “can do” attitude
