Configuration and IT Analyst

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative IT Analyst who has a real passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.

We’re the Onboarding Team and we’re part of Lloyd’s Register’s Customised Assurance department. We are responsible for ensuring the technology we provide new clients is bespoke to them and empowers them to work more efficiently with greater insights and analysis. The process of Onboarding is delivered as a bespoke service managed as a stand-alone project typically lasting 3 months per client prior to handover to Operations & BAU.

Here are a few things you would be doing:

  • Understand our client and business needs to ensure that the technical requirements in the project brief are:
    • The best option
    • Achievable within the given timeframes
  • Work closely with the Onboarding Project Manager to deliver a holistic and bespoke service
  • Co-ordinate the integration, development and enhancement of our configuration management tools
  • Analyse configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions
  • Test solutions end to end, including data quality checks
  • Draft UAT scripts for client and business testing
  • Create bespoke Managed Information Reports for the client
  • Build audit checklists
  • Prepare configuration documentation and ensure a smooth handover to maintenance team
  • Review and recommend improvements to onboarding configuration management processes

We’re keen to hear from you if you:

  • Are educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a scientific, computing, maths or engineering discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an IT environment, working directly with users
  • Have demonstrable use of internet-based technologies, Microsoft applications and database experience
  • Understand how data ETL (Extract, Test and Load) works
  • Have a working knowledge of SQL Server and ASP.Net (an understanding of Umbraco CMS is also desirable but not essential)
  • Have fantastic time and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrable risk, incident, problem and change management experience
  • Are happy to travel to client sites when required

A career with us means you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and really exceed customer expectations. You will be an ambassador for Lloyd’s Register Group through the delivery of successful change projects that support the achievement of Lloyd’s Register strategic goals and objectives.
