Role Purpose

 

 

 

The Onboarding Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful integration of new national and international clients and standards into the Business Assurance business. The post-holder will manage the day-to-day activities of Onboarding new clients and new standards to time, cost, quality, and scope as agreed with the customer and business areas.

 

Due to current world events, the role will initially be carried out remotely, with some team days in the Edinburgh office. The expectation is that the successful candidate will ultimately be permanently based in the Edinburgh office or with an ongoing hybrid work pattern as set by LR. Some national and international travel will be required in undertaking the role.

 

The post-holder will be experienced in Project Management methodologies and their application, and will provide leadership, expertise, and guidance to the wider project team. The post-holder will report directly to the Global Client Configuration & Onboarding Manager. They will be an ambassador for Lloyds Register, ensuring the delivery of successful projects supporting the delivery of our strategic goals and objectives.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

 

Customer & Commercial Focus

  • Participate in the sales process to advise on customer proposals and appropriate technical solutions in line with system capabilities
  • Ensure customer solutions meet requirements whilst maintaining commercial awareness of all aspects of the project to support our business goals

 

Project Management

  • Lead the delivery of new client onboarding projects, from Sales completion stage to a Business as Usual state
  • Lead the delivery of change initiatives for existing clients
  • Lead project teams ensuring best practice methodologies and governance
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects through their entire lifecycle using appropriate project management methodologies
  • Ensure accurate and current reporting of schedule, scope, budget, and risk is maintained and communicated in line with programme and project requirements
  • Apply project management methodologies, compliance, and best practice to ensure successful delivery of projects to the agreed scope, schedule, and quality
  • Support the continuous improvement of project methodologies, tools, and processes

 

Relationships

  • Lead cross-team collaboration whilst influencing positive project outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure we achieve successful outcomes
  • Ensure accurate and on-time reporting of project stakeholders through regular meetings and direct communication methods

 

Knowledge

  • Maintain professional expertise and knowledge of evolving methods and approaches relevant to the field of Project Management through continuous learning
  • Mentor team members as you share knowledge and expertise on best practice project management
  • Lead technical presentations of systems and tools related to client solutions during proposal, onboarding, and handover stages of projects

 

 

 

Technical & Professional Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing mid to large scale technology projects in an international environment
  • Demonstrable project management experience including scoping, planning, scheduling, reporting, resource management, stakeholder management and risk & issue management
  • Demonstrable experience of collaborating, and presenting to client and internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • APM, PMI, or another recognised project management certification, or equivalent experience to meet their membership application and exam requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant subject or equivalent work experience 
  • Certification and experience in Agile practices an advantage
  • High level of expertise in Microsoft 365 products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential – experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, Forms, are also highly desirable
  • Experience in Smartsheet an advantage
