We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our Onboarding Team.


Role Purpose:
The Onboarding Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful integration of new national and multi-national clients and new standards into the Customised Assurance business. The post-holder will manage the day-to-day activities of Onboarding new clients and new standards to time, cost, quality and scope as agreed with the client.


Due to current world events, the role will initially be carried out remotely, but future expectation is that the successful candidate will be based in the Edinburgh office, with some national and international travel required in undertaking the role.


The post-holder will be experienced in Project Management methodologies and their application, and will provide leadership, expertise and guidance to the project team. The post-holder will report directly to the Global Client Configuration & Onboarding Manager. They will be an ambassador for Lloyds Register, ensuring the delivery of successful projects supporting the delivery of the Customised Assurance strategic goals and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the successful takeover of clients from Sales and handover to Operations upon completion of the client Onboarding project
  • Responsible for managing the project deliverables and project team(s) ensuring adherence to the LR Investment Project process and best practise
  • Maintaining professional expertise and expert knowledge of evolving methods and approaches relevant to the field of Project Management and the delivery of Onboarding projects
  • To maintain project governance on Customised Assurance Project Delivery Meetings
  • Accountable for ensuring technical demonstrations for clients / internal teams related to the systems used by Customised Assurance are effective when performed by Onboarding Project Managers / Onboarding IT Configuration Technical Specialists. Be prepared to conduct demonstrations of the AIMS/ASSIST platform to client sales pitches and tenders
  • Building lasting relationships with new and existing clients using a combination of personal and technical skills
  • Working with our customers to solve daily business problems
  • Work with our customers to gather appropriate information and form a plan of action with them
  • Producing plans and reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Assisting with the maintenance of a RAID log for each project
  • Consistent delivery of work through collaboration and sharing and embedding lessons learned


Technical/ Professional Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Five or more years experience of managing large complex projects
  • Demonstrable Project Management experience coming from a project management environment
  • Formal Project Management Certification - Prince2, APM, PMI or other recognised project management certification
  • Experience and Certification in Agile practices would be an advantage
  • Experience of working with all levels of stakeholder up to senior level
  • Experience of using project management tools and techniques, including risk & issue management
  • Good commercial acumen able to effectively manage the third-party suppliers and the overall project budget
  • A proven history of significant, successful and measurable benefits delivery
  • A proven history of producing quality Business Cases that have been successfully delivered
