What we’re looking for
- The DEI Specialist is responsible for supporting the Global DEI Manager to manage the DEI strategy, programmes and interventions as part of our people and culture strategy. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery, governance, and reporting of Lloyd’s Register’s DEI strategy, programmes, and interventions as part of the People & Culture agenda. The role combines strong programme management capability with DEI subject-matter expertise, ensuring that inclusion priorities are planned, governed, delivered, and embedded effectively across a global, matrixed organisation.
- The role also plays a critical role in enabling and supporting Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), ensuring their activity aligns to strategic priorities, delivers measurable impact, and is supported with appropriate governance, capability-building, and visibility.
- The role holds accountability for managing a portfolio of 5–10 cross-functional DEI programmes that deliver measurable impact against the 3-year DEI and Culture strategy.

The role
- Support the delivery of the 3-year programme plan.
- Work with Programme Manager to maintain programme governance, including RAID logs, actions, decision logs, and delivery cadence.
- Monitor interdependence across DEI workstreams and proactively resolve risks and delivery issues.
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
- Ensure ERG activity is coordinated, inclusive, and delivers value for colleagues and the organisation.
- Design and maintain DEI project infrastructure including Teams sites, templates, toolkits, and reference data.
- Track and report DEI programme budgets, benefits, and ROI.
- Provide DEI expertise across priority themes (e.g. gender equity, ethnicity, disability, inclusive leadership).
- Translate DEI data, ERG insights, and colleague feedback into practical interventions and recommendations.
What you bring
- Minimum 3 years of DEI, HR, People, or Culture roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional programmes end-to-end.
- Strong working knowledge of DEI principles, inclusive practices, and organisational change.
- Experience supporting or working with ERGs or colleague networks.
- Proven experience with programme governance, reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Strong reporting skills, able to use data and visuals to engage and enlighten the audience
- Evidence of ownership, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.
