We are seeking a Data Management Analyst to join Lloyd’s Register’s Data Team, supporting the development and adoption of enterprise-wide data management capabilities across the organization. This role is responsible for supporting data definition, data quality, and core data management activities to ensure that data remains accurate, transparent, and trusted across Lloyd’s Register. Working closely with business stakeholders, Data Experts, technology teams, and governance forums, you will play an important role in improving data standards, resolving data quality issues, and supporting strategic data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in data quality, data governance, or master data management and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where analytical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

The role

  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Lloyd’s Register’s Business Glossary within Microsoft Purview.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining data definition processes and standards, working with Data Experts and Technology Teams to capture and document business terms, data definitions, and metadata.
  • Support alignment between data definitions, application interfaces, reporting, analytics, and business processes.
  • Monitor progress and communicate issues, risks, and recommendations to Data Governance stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and operation of Lloyd’s Register's Data Quality Framework, defining, implementing, and executing data quality rules and controls.
  • Capture and maintain data quality issues within the enterprise Data Quality Issue Inventory, working closely with Data Experts and Technology Teams to investigate and resolve them.
  • Produce and maintain data quality metrics, dashboards, and performance reports, supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the implementation and operation of Lloyd’s Register's Master Data Management framework.
  • Contribute to the Client Data Programme by helping establish trusted client data processes, governance controls, workflows, and approvals.
  • Support the definition of client data requirements across consuming applications and systems, and assist with implementing client data models within Salesforce.
  • Help define and implement controls to improve data quality and prevent data issues at source, and support the management of client data updates, merges, de-duplication, and retirement processes.
  • Build effective working relationships with business, technology, and governance stakeholders, communicating data-related issues, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support the adoption of data standards, governance processes, and best practices across the organization.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Lloyd’s Register health, safety, and quality procedures.

 

What you bring

  • Experience working in Data Quality, Data Governance, Master Data Management, or related data management disciplines.
  • Experience working within complex, multi-system business environments, and supporting data governance, metadata management, or data quality initiatives.
  • Experience working in regulated, compliance-focused, or risk-aware organizations.
  • Experience collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to resolve data issues.
  • Solid understanding of data quality dimensions and controls, data definition and metadata management, business glossaries and data cataloguing concepts, and Master Data Management principles and lifecycle processes.
  • Experience supporting data quality metrics and reporting, data governance processes and standards, and metadata and business glossary management.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate data issues and identify root causes.
  • Experience working with SQL and datasets to analyse and validate data, and assessing data quality issues across multiple systems and business processes.
  • Experience using reporting and analytical tools to support investigations and performance monitoring, and familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Salesforce, or similar data management platforms.
  • Well-developed stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in evolving environments and manage competing priorities, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accountable, pragmatic, and outcome-focused, with keen attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in Data Management, Data Governance, or Analytics are a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in India, Malaysia, or the Philippines.
