What we’re looking for
The Data Migration Specialist (Maritime CRM) is a crucial member of the data migration team. This individual will primarily work to successfully and efficiently complete client migration projects. This position is responsible for the successful migration of customer’s data as part of our Fleet Management Software onboarding. This will be accomplished using existing tools, communication with clients, extreme attention to detail and logical thinking to convert client data from various data sources via scripts into our Database.

Responsibilities:
- Get a sound understanding of the data structure of our software and the purpose of the data.
- Maintain a core understanding of our product.
- Communicate efficiently, effectively, and professionally with internal migrations team.
- Do hands-on work to migrate the client's data from multiple sources into the CFM database.
- Work within Excel, relational databases and C# to convert client data for import into the appropriate CFM data tables for client's review and approval
- Troubleshoot issues with data inconsistencies to achieve successful imports.
- Prove the reliability of data by verifying accuracy through unique checks and balances.
- Continuous development of data the data import environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data migration requirements, including data mapping, cleansing, and transformation
- Develop data migration plans and timelines to ensure successful data transfer between systems
- Conduct data analysis to identify data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Develop data validation and testing plans to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Develop and maintain documentation of data migration processes and procedures
- Provide support to end-users during and after the data migration process
- Ensure adherence to data security and privacy policies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven advanced excel or database skills, knowledge and application
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience in Object-Oriented Programming
- Technical proficiency, in data analysis, problem-solving, and strategic thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to track numerous details
- Familiarity or comfort working with external clients.
- Keen attention to detail for accuracy to deliver on internal and external customer requirements with a time-sensitive approach
- Patience, empathy, and integrity approaching each situation with a fresh outlook and the client's success in mind
- Ability to learn new software platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data migration, data analysis, or related field
- Familiarity in: LINQ, C# and Entity Framework
- Relational database experience
- Experience working with SQL and other data management tools
