The role 


  • Create, own, develop and implement the people analytics strategy to ensure a consumer grade digital experience for stakeholders requiring HR data & insights
  • Collaborate with other parts of the business (i.e. Finance) to enable delivery of new organisational designs and generate input for strategic workforce planning and budget reconciliation
  • Enable HRLT, HR Directors, HRBPs with evidenced based decisions to deliver strategy and change projects through the provision of insights to business challenges and objectives
  • Initiate operational HR insights through BI Dashboards to People Leaders and Line Managers across the organisation to enable efficient people management
  • Understand key requirements of HR Communities of Expertise and design scalable reporting solutions to enable self service
  • Act as a subject matter expert to guide the Communities of Expertise in using the right approach and methodology in projects requiring HR data and analytics (Talent, Development, D&I)
  • Drive self service and digital adoption of Success Factors operational reporting and People Insights from BI solutions
  • Utilize internal platforms to develop a one stop shop to serve stakeholders with updates, information, FAQs, and guidelines on all processes in relation to people Insights
  • Drive digital enablement of People Service Delivery team through the utilisation of available reporting, provision of training and creation of automated processes regarding frequent data requests
  • Drive initiatives to develop a group of people analytics champions who will act as ambassadors of evidenced based decisions and create a culture of self-service utilising technology
  • Manage the HR Business Intelligence Lead and set direction to achieve the people analytics strategy and prioritise requests effectively. Ensure quality of service while supporting their technical development and growth
  • Ensure other parts of the business are supported in compliance requests which require HR Data (HSES, Insurance, Pensions, Property etc.)
  • Guarantee a smooth operation of automated processes that generate datasets which are required to operate external People Experience platforms (Engagement, Recognition, Onboarding, Exit)
  • Design request management process and direct work following feasibility assessment and prioritization to ensure effective delegation to achieve deadlines and provide data, information, and insights in a timely manner

 

 

What you bring  

 

  • CIPD qualified, minimum graduate level or equivalent
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to ensure insight is impactful and strong communication skills to tell and deliver a story through effective presentations.
  • Ability to perform effective request management by capturing, assessing, and prioritising multiple requests
  • Experience of stored procedures, functions and ETL, involving data I/O from varied sources; csv, excel, SharePoint files/lists, MS Forms, SFTPs etc.
  • Understanding of Azure Data Warehouse basic functionality and foundational knowledge of SQL for ETL processes
  • Expert knowledge and experience (5+ years) of Power BI desktop for development and Power BI Service for sharing insights. Including M language, DAX, Query editor, Dataflows, Row level security, report sharing and modelling
  • Experienced (5+ years) with HR systems and methods for collecting and analysing HR data. Expertise in Success Factors Advanced Reporting module including Stories, Canvas, Table reports and bundles.
  • Advanced MS Excel user with proven experience (5+ years) analysing data using advanced formulas and complex modelling
  • Confident user of MS online platforms and products including SharePoint files and lists, Power Automate (Flows) and Forms
  • Strong analytical thinking ability and able to quickly and effectively assimilate detailed and complex information to support business decisions
  • Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies and programme governance
  • Knowledge and understanding of strategic workforce planning
  • Ability to understand and assess complex and sometimes unfamiliar situations, visualise solutions and see through to resolution and work effectively within a matrix organisation.
