The Role

 

  • Translate the Product Manager’s strategic vision into a well-prioritized product backlog and ensure delivery of high-value work aligned to the product strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to align on product vision, roadmap, sprint plans, and progress updates.
  • Partner with UX designers, architects, and development teams to define and deliver the right functionality on time.
  • Operate in an Agile environment, continuously refining priorities, milestones, deliverables, and assessing opportunities and risks.
  • Advocate for the customer by deeply understanding the end-to-end experience and ensuring requirements reflect user needs.
  • Define detailed product requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories that support clear implementation.
  • Lead functional design activities, informed by user insights and technical considerations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external delivery partners to execute the backlog, protect performance, and minimize technical debt.
  • Understand delivery partner impacts to existing capabilities and identify opportunities to leverage new features.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily scrums, planning, reviews, retrospectives) to ensure team clarity and alignment.
  • Work with the Scrum Master to keep delivery on track and impediments resolved.
  • Be accountable for the financial performance of the Product from a technology perspective, including setting the budgets for the next 3 years and how this will be recharged to our customers within LR. Manage the impact on any new requirements and ensuring that there is additional funding available if these requirements are out of scope of the core service. 
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise governance standards across product management, technology, service, and security.
  • Partner with QA to drive robust test coverage and integrate automated testing for a high-quality, stable product.
  • Maintain accurate technical design and product documentation.
  • Support governance processes and controls to enable optimal product delivery.
  • Ensure the product complies with GDPR and other regulatory or audit requirements.


Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:

 

  • Eliminate or minimise employee's exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment, and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LR activities.
  • Manage your own and your team's compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems, and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.

 

 

What you bring 

 

  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Minimum 4 years work experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management, ideally aligned to the specific product this role is targeted for. 
  • Technical background in Salesforce Experience Cloud is preferable
  • Experience with a definition of minimum marketable features and minimum viable products.
  • Experience in managing suppliers, holding suppliers accountable whilst developing collaborative relationships to underpin ‘agile’ contracts. 
  • Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Knows how to define the product roadmap supported by customer/market data.
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability 
  • Strong focus on understanding customer behaviour and pain points to deliver optimal solutions.
