Role purpose:

Ensure all TOC/AIC projects in North Europe Region are delivered in compliance with applicable processes, rules & regulations while meeting the expectations of the Client & various Commercial Teams

The role may include the management of other complex projects, e.g. CAP/SIAS

Promote good working behaviors and promote and excellent Customer Experience (internal and external).

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the leading co-ordination role to execute awarded TOC in opportunities
  • Lead Key Communication between EIC Department/Service Delivery offices
  • Ensure TOC/AIC project compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, e.g. IACS PR1A and 1D.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, quality, HSE and HR policies as applicable.
  • Monitor NEUR TOC case progress and ensure smooth execution.
  • TOC training plan (on the job / “meet the team” / periodical meetings) of NEUR leads.
  • Manage TOC case escalations as needed (case by case)
  • Review completed LR form 2548 and already approved risk evaluation
  • Liaise directly and/or via assigned Key Account Manager with the clients to obtain documentation, e.g.
  • required plans, certificates etc.
  • Review documentation received from client
  • Preparation of Hull & Machinery data sheets
  • Ensure transparent correspondence and communication with SDO, EIC department and the client
  • Establish communication channels across NEUR TOC leads with TOC department.
  • Monitor progress of ongoing NEUR TOC projects.
  • Ensure TOC/AIC project compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, e.g. IACS PR1A and 1D.
  • Manage NEUR case Escalation to Senior Management

To produce the deliverable within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review other employee’s work as requested.

To discuss / present the deliverable with the internal / external client at a senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.

Undertake administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.

To assess / recommend the time / value of the work to be undertaken for an internal / external client within an agreed fee / cost structure and within the commercial aspects of the contract.

To make recommendations based on internal / external client feedback to assist in service delivery improvement and to help build the business.

To contribute to internal / external client management as appropriate.

Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.

To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

To mentor / coach other technical employees to achieve effective technical knowledge transfer and application.

To undertake project management where applicable including monitoring project progress and spend against budget and contract requirements.

 

 

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme) or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship’s officer.

Membership of an appropriate professional institution.

Working towards achieving Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.

Proficiency in the English Language commensurate with the work.

Demonstrable understanding of the Project Management process, gained through experience and training

In depth knowledge of Transfer of Class,  AIC project compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, e.g. IACS PR1A and 1D.

Naval Architect  and/or Marine Engineering Degree
