What we’re looking for
We are looking for a motivated surveyor to join our marine operations team in Finland. The surveyor will be based either in Helsinki but travel within the country (and sometimes abroad) will be required. We are looking for a person with experience in new construction surveys, existing ship surveys and Material and component surveys.

A full-time permanent role
The role
- Conduct classification and statutory surveys for existing vessels and newbuild ships in line with Lloyd’s Register Rules & Regulations and relevant statutory requirements.
- Survey marine materials, equipment, and components at manufacturers’ facilities.
- Prepare accurate, timely, and technically compliant survey reports.
- Provide technical guidance and consultancy to clients across the modern marine industry.
- Visit customer sites and provide engineering support to help maintain safe and efficient operations.
What you bring
- A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the field of marine engineering or naval architecture.
- Some working experience from shipbuilding industry, classification, or shipping companies.
- An awareness of the marine business environment, both in the developing of existing business and reaching for new opportunities.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Finnish and Swedish language skills are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general IT literacy.
- A driver’s licence.
