Principal Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage high-complexity projects or a portfolio of projects across one or more client contracts.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering and managing strong relationships between the clients and LR to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role
- Oversee all aspects of project performance, strategy, delivery, and safety for complex projects, ensuring effective management in a client-facing capacity.
- Identify, source, and manage resources (full-time and part-time) for assigned projects in alignment with contractual and budgetary requirements.
- Act as the primary interface with the client’s project team to ensure efficient and effective project delivery in line with commercial, contractual, and financial contract requirements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Provide expert guidance by leading and managing assigned technical personnel, including Project Teams.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, financial tracking, risk management, and issue resolution, while ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements applicable to project jurisdictions.
- Contribute to and influence the development of delivery standards and policy in your area of expertise.
- Aid in creating reference and resource materials for project management.
- Mentor and train others in Project Management practices.
- Manage bid and tender development processes for project management team contracts.
- Pursue Continuing Professional Development, keeping up-to-date with technical and discipline knowledge.
- Complete additional reasonable tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
What you bring
- A degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related Science field.
- Considerable years of offshore industry experience, with strong general engineering knowledge and a proven record of delivering high-complexity projects successfully.
- Chartered or Professional qualification and membership in a relevant professional institution (preferred).
- Thorough understanding of Classification Rules and Certification Schemes and their practical application.
- Ability to provide technical and commercial leadership within assigned responsibilities.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and processes (e.g., APM, PMI) while ensuring compliance with legal and commercial standards.
- Highly adaptable, organized, and practical, with the capability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in technical report writing.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating budgets and financial processes efficiently across multiple projects.
- Pragmatic, empathetic, and credible when engaging with clients, with a polished professional demeanor.
- Strong influencing and motivational abilities, effectively providing advice, counsel, or support to others.
