A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of three years programme).
Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
Working towards achieving Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
Shall possess sufficient relevant previous working experience as a technical leader to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the relevant specialist requirements, knowledge and application.
In depth working experience in Asset Management for the Maritime and Energies space.
Demonstrable experience in Reliability, Maintenance and Integrity service delivery,
Customer focussed, proactive and highly motivated to support clients, by meeting their deadlines and regularly updating them on progress
Strong team-working and interpersonal skills
Good communication / influencing skills
Proficiency in the English Language commensurate with the work, with the ability to produce comprehensive and detailed written reports.
Project management experience. (desirable)
Functional Safety Qualification. (desirable)
Knowledge of MAROS Software (desirable)
Familiar with CMMS and IMDS packages (desirable)
To perform technical assessments and provide specialist advice for service delivery within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
To produce the deliverable within the agreed parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review other employee’s work as requested.
To discuss / present the deliverable with the internal / external client at a senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
Provide technical support within defined area of expertise to ensure consistency of interpretation and application to service delivery processes.
Responsible for managing technical knowledge within defined remit to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Monitor technical knowledge and interpretation (e.g. through accompanied visits, internal audit, technical review, stakeholder feedback, coaching, formal training, or other appropriate development mechanism), reviewing complaints and providing feedback as appropriate in order to support professional development.
Participate in and contribute to the formulation of local strategies and business plans. Deliver to plan. Drive improvements in business processes, in consultation with other process owners, to ensure business effectiveness.
To assess / recommend the time / value of the work to be undertaken for an internal / external client within an agreed fee / cost structure and within the commercial aspects of the contract.
Using developed knowledge and experience to support commercial functions with enquiries and technical requirements.
To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
To mentor / coach other technical employees to achieve effective technical knowledge transfer and application.
To undertake project management where applicable including monitoring project progress and spend against budget and contract requirements.
Undertake administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.
Eliminate or minimise employee's exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LR activities.
Manage your own and your team's compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.
Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventative action as necessary and suggesting and implementing improvement activities.
