We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Specialist in Noise and Vibration to join our LR Advisory global team serving the maritime sector in China. The main focus of our team is to help clients to design vessels in compliance with stringent requirements pertaining noise and vibration, both at working environments, as well as the environmental footprint.

Your duties will include:

  • Deliver noise and vibration projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Perform comprehensive noise and vibration surveys, measurements, and assessments using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
  • Analyse data and prepare detailed technical reports, including noise and vibration impact assessments, predictions, and mitigation recommendations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, project teams, and stakeholders on noise and vibration control measures, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements related to noise and vibration control from ships and marine traffic.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing, client meetings, and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of acoustics, vibration analysis, and related scientific principles.
  • Experience in noise and vibration assessments in the maritime sector is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard noise and vibration measurement equipment and software.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines related to noise and vibration control.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills in English and Mandarin, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
