We are looking for an experienced Country Sales Manager for our Certification Business. If you have prior hunter sales experience in Management Systems, please apply within!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage and develop a sales team in order to maximise profitability from sales, manage business development opportunities and continuously improve the quality of pre-sale service to clients.  This includes recruitment, leadership, performance management and training / development of the team
  • To define and allocate new days targets personally and within the team through work allocation and performance monitoring using individual and team KPIs and the PPP process to ensure continuous improvement and that objectives are met, and client expectations are understood and delivered accordingly
  • Responsible for identifying and issuing quotations for self and team to a number agreed with Area Sales Manager and Area Operations Manager to meet local and regional sales strategy and targets
  • Responsible for the identification and direct sales of certification services to assist in the delivery and development of Area Operations strategic growth targets and objectives
  • Provide regular documentation, KPI’s and data to assist with the forecasting and reporting performance against targets to assist in initiation and delivery of appropriate actions. Provide advice, feedback and input into local and regional strategic plans to assist with growth targets
  • Identify and build excellent client relationships through proactive communication and action to fulfil client expectations and ensure customer retention and renewal targets are met personally and within the team
  • Prepare and maintain an Account Plan for each client which will involve how to effectively manage the relationship and research to establish knowledge of a client such as business strategy, company structure, hierarchy and identity of decision makers and influencers. Conduct reviews of own account plans and mentor those of others in the team
  • Provide information, feedback and sales support to assist with the efficient and effective coordination of Sales across all departments to ensure own and others’ compliance to policies and processes
  • Ensure effective two way communication with marketing to share information and data on trends, competitive information, client expectations, market information to assist in the formulation and execution of sales targets and plan(s) taking into account associated resources, controls, budgets and deliverables as part of the Area Operations strategy
  • Mentor and coach other team members and new staff to transfer knowledge of client training products and services in line with sales processes and systems

 

Job Requirements:

  • A degree within the relevant field of engineering or physical science or qualifications from international recognized audit and accreditation bodies
  • Experience in managing a team within a sales environment and across a region is desirable
  • Consultative selling, quotation and lead generation skills, engaging and negotiating with prospective clients, experienced in pricing, margin and pipeline management
  • Understand the concept of Management systems and how they are applied in organisations. Understand link to certification / verification and associated training needs analysis is preferred
  • Knowledge of standard IT programmes and use of databases is essential with experience of systems used and applied within Company with relevance to sales preferred
  • Production and analysis of KPI’s, reports and data to assist with forecasting and performance against targets, sharing of best practice and ensuring compliance with processes and systems
  • An assertive approach to problem solving with strong communication and diplomacy skills to guide, negotiate, influence and persuade at all levels
  • Mentoring and coaching of direct and indirect team members in areas including sales processes and customer identification and retention
  • Experienced in working proactively with other areas of the operation including marketing to work toward the common growth strategies and targets
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels within organisations and to influence successfully and openly at all levels – both inside our organisation and outside in the business
  • Ability and understanding to participate, communicate, positively contribute and add value in standards technical discussions with clients and colleagues alike
  • Enjoyment of building relationships, with the ability to pro-actively drive development of a network of key relationships internally and externally
  • Strong commercial awareness. Ability to develop strategic action plans based on input from key persons
  • Strong team spirit. Demonstrate professional people skills and promote a team working environment across the area of business
  • Demonstrate motivational skills in directing colleagues to achieve business objectives
  • Flexible approach to adjust role as the position develops
