Project Manager/(Senior) Surveyor – Marine & Offshore
Location: - Jingjiang, Zhoushan, Dalian
What we’re looking for
We are currently seeking talented surveyors and project managers to join our Service Delivery Team to support our expanding business in China.
The role
- The focus for this role will be to support New Construction Project.
- To conduct classification and statutory surveys for ships in construction.
- To discuss and present the deliverable with the internal/external client and be able to suggest solutions where appropriate.
- To assess or recommend the time and value of the work to be undertaken for an external client, assisting in identifying the most appropriate fee and cost structure.
- You will always assess all risks and work in a safe manner, reporting in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Marine/Mechanical engineering or an equivalent level of qualification would be preferred.
- A good understanding of marine classification, marine repairs, periodical, statutory, materials and equipment surveys as necessary.
- Enthusiastic and focused on client service delivery.
- Team member with good communicative skills.
- Ability to recognise and appreciate differing cultural, commercial and technical viewpoints.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
- Committed to constant improvement and the ability to implement changes as required.
- Flexible, keen to learn and develop new skills.
- A sound awareness of Corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures, and an ability to be proactive in this area.
- Class, ship-owner rep working experience background are preferable.
