Key Responsibilities:

To conduct relevant activities and provide advice for service delivery within own area of experience, adhering to budget constraints and contractual requirements.

To produce the deliverable within the agreed parameters in a defined format to time, budget and to quality.

To discuss and present the deliverable with the internal/external client and be able to suggest solutions where appropriate.

Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.

To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.

To assess or recommend the time and value of the work to be undertaken for an external client, assisting in identifying the most appropriate fee and cost structure.

To give guidance to other employees, as appropriate, and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledgetransfer and application.

To assist in service delivery improvement by communicating internal/external client feedback as appropriate.

Ensure that the appropriate authorisations are gained and are kept up to date.

Undertake routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.

 

Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:

Assess the risks and work in a safe manner at all times, robustly implementing health and safety rules, instructions and systems and refuse to undertake work that compromises your safety or health.

Report in a timely manner all incidents including near misses and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and raise any health and safety concerns with your line manager.

 

Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marine/Mechanical engineering or equivalent level of qualification would be preferred.
2. A good understanding of marine classification, marine repairs, periodical,  statutory, materials and equipment surveys as necessary. 
3. Enthusiastic and focused on client service delivery.
4. Team member with good communicative skills.
5. Ability to recognise and appreciate differing cultural, commercial and technical viewpoints.
6. Ability to work under pressure and independently.
7. Committed to constant improvement and the ability to implement changes as required. Flexible, keen to learn and develop new skills.
8. A sound awareness of Corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures, and an ability to be proactive in this area.
9. MSA  Exam (preferable), above 3 years total service years
10. Class,  ship-owner rep working experience background are preferable

11. Ability to read, write, speak and communicate in English and Chinese
