The role


Nettitude is currently going through a period of accelerated growth within our UK office. We are looking to further our growth by adding a new Head of New Business to our team. This is a home based role with expectation of being in the office typically 1-2 days per week.


The key objectives of the Head of Business Development will be to manage a team that has a primary focus on targeting and engaging enterprise organisations with an intention of operating as a cyber adviser discovering new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit. The role will report into our overall EVP of Sales and Marketing.


The Head of Business Development role requires substantial experience in selling Cyber Security Services such as Assurance/Testing, Threat Intelligence, Detection & Response and Incident Response Services and should be comfortable interacting with C-suite level stakeholders and senior partners.


The role of Head of Business Development requires the ability to understand, interpret and execute sales strategies that focus on Nettitude’s value proposition across the UK and Europe via an existing sales team. This key metrics of this role will be achieved by assisting the sales team in delivering and overseeing innovative cyber advisory programmes to clients/stakeholders.



What you will be doing in your role:


  • Executing business development plans to successfully win new business and exceed growth targets in the European region, in line with the Nettitude business strategy
  • Staying current with changes to cyber security framework changes in Europe, to ensure we respond to the market with the appropriate sales strategies.
  • Collaborating with the Global Marketing Team to help drive new opportunity for the New Business Sales Team.
  • Building and managing client relationships and our excellent partner network.
  • Using proven sales methodology to carry out strategic win reviews and executing actions accordingly
  • Collaborating with supporting Teams (PreSales, Bid Team) to maximise win rates, customer retention and renewal rates.
  • Ensuring the high quality of proposals and presentations that are delivered to our clients
  • Ensuring all funnel opportunities are reflected accurately in internal CRM systems and use the data to provide accurate business forecasts to the Senior Executive Team
  • Leading, coaching and mentoring the sales team across the region to build capability through recruitment, people engagement, performance management and development planning to meet strategic and business objectives
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of customers, competitors and competitor products/services to help improve sales performance 



Key skills:


The following are the requirements for this role:

  • Degree or professional qualification with commercial experience is preferred
  • Significant demonstrable experience in sales management and/or business development within the cyber industry; experience working at a cyber certified body is preferred
  • An assertive approach to problem solving with strong communication and diplomacy skills to guide, negotiate, influence and persuade at all levels but specifically at C-Suite Level
  • Demonstrable experience in consultative selling sales management, lead generation and engaging, negotiating with prospective clients and pipeline management 
  • Experience of pricing strategies and knowledge of good financial management practice
  • Experience in leading and developing a team within a commercial cyber environment including experience of recruitment, people engagement, and performance management processes.
  • Knowledge of standard IT systems/applications including CRM and comfortable in using proprietary software for business processes is preferred 
  • Experienced in working proactively with other areas of business operations including marketing, presales and technical teams to work toward the common growth strategies and targets.
