The role

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining a long term relationship with accounts and maximising sales opportunities within them. Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business within those accounts.

 

What you’ll be doing

In your role you will need to:

  • Deliver £Revenue versus target
  • Build sales pipeline in line with sales targets set by Sales Manager
  • Identify client needs and review their requirements in order to sell tailored solutions
  • Construct and present tailored presentations/proposals to clients based on these requirements
  • Manage existing accounts and expand £Revenue yield by 25%
  • Establish and Develop approx. 20 accounts with existing or potential high yield
  • Achieve quarterly £Revenue targets agreed with the Sales Manager in line with group requirements
  • Provide accurate forecasts to Sales Manager on weekly and monthly basis
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of the competitive environment via sales meeting presentations
  • Liaise with existing clients to ensure relevant documentation is completed/returned (contracts, authorisation forms, account opening forms, etc)
  • Engage at least one C-Level contact within each Key Account
  • Achieve a minimum of 3 contact points within the client/target
  • Ensure all client data is entered onto CRM after every telephone call/client visit and all details regarding the client are populated
  • Prepare and Formulate strategic WIN plans using sales plan tool, signed off by the aligned sales manager
  • Undertake any training necessary to carry out duties and responsibilities
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the level and responsibilities of the post
  • Work in harmony with all other personnel and to communicate in an open and courteous manner with colleagues and customers.
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures

 

Key Skill requirements

The following are strong recommendations and in most cases prerequisites of the role:

  1. Solid Account Management Experience within the Cyber Security Sector.
  2. Strong telephone and communication skills
  3. Experience of selling and/or dealing with customers
  4. Demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets
  5. Experience of sales cycle management and accurate forecasting
  6. Good teamwork skills
