The role

 

We have an opportunity for a proactive Managed Vulnerability Scanning Lead to join us in our rapidly expanding Managed Security Services Department.

The purpose of this role is to lead our Managed Vulnerability Scanning Service, a complete ASV offering with a large, rapidly growing client base.

This role comes at a key pivotal point as we mature our service and tackle the key challenges that will enable future growth. It will require a combination of leadership experience, hands-on technical service management, development, client management and a drive to improve the way we deliver our MVS services. 

It is a unique opportunity to use your extensive experience to not only lead the service, but to continually grow, develop and shape our existing capability as we, and our clients, evolve.

 

Location

 

This role is remote, although there is a requirement to journey to the office for team building events, training workshops, HR and socials (Post-COVID). We can support working from across the UK. All applicants will require residence in the UK.

 

What you’ll be doing in your role:

 

  • Operational responsibility for our Managed Vulnerability Scanning (MVS) Service, providing line management and development of Vulnerability Analysts
  • Lead and facilitate the growth of our MVS Service through new features, Optimisations, Integrations, Metrics and Capabilities; this will require project management, Coding and co-ordinating virtual teams within time and resource constraints
  • Development and Maintenance of Service Performance Metrics, KPIs and Operational Health
  • Support MVS Service Strategy, Contributing to Strategic and Operational Plans
  • Maintain an awareness of the latest Defensive Technologies, Trends, Vulnerabilities, Exploits and Patches
  • Act as a point of escalation and subject matter expertise for MVS Incidents and Tickets Escalated from Vulnerability Analysts/customers; including coordination of internal and external client resources
  • Maintain regular verbal and written communication with customers, suppliers and internally as required. 
  • Applying a Growth Mindset to Introduce new processes, features and development opportunities

 

 

Key Skills:

 

The following are the requirements for this role:

 

  • Demonstrable Line Management experience within a Complex, High-Performing Managed Services team
  • Demonstrable Scripting Capability, with a focus on Python; working with APIs to automate tasks and perform system integration.
  • Strong Experience Delivering a Successful Vulnerability Management Program, Vulnerability Analysis/Prioritisation and Patch Management
  • Developed Capability utilizing commercial Vulnerability Management Solutions; Including Deployment, Configuration, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting
  • Experience Performing Service Management, Generating Service Performance Metrics, Maintaining KPIs and Continual Service Improvement
  • Good understanding of Threat Actor TTPs, Exploits and Detection Methodologies
  • Proven Experience in a Customer-Facing Role; communicating to different levels of stakeholders
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, EPP and NetMon Tools – usage, configuration, architecture, Analysis & Log Formats
