The role
Due to continued expansion we are looking for an experienced Technical Specialist, experienced in Infrastructure tools and processes to become a member of our team.
We are offering a 6-month role on an employee fixed term contract. 

Role responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical expert for driving projects forward from concept to delivery of Business Services Systems
  • Design, configure, and implement technical solutions to meet business needs.
  • Performing configuration, troubleshooting and administration of Server, Infrastructure, Virtualisation, M365 & desktop environments
  • Managing incidents and problems appropriately within agreed service levels
  • Participating in Infrastructure, and desktop maintenance activity (patching/hotfix/upgrades)
  • Creating and performing authorised changes to the internal/M365 infrastructure environments
  • Performing root cause analysis on reoccurring incidents
  • Act as a technical escalation point for major incidents related to the service delivery from the datacentre and customer sites
  • Ensuring technical documentation is completed and updated to professional standards (including HLD’s, LLD’s, Test Plans, Admin guides/SOP’s)
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement programmes of all technology platforms across the customer environments
  • Assisting with new customer on-boarding & service acceptance into operational support for all new implementations and enhancements/upgrades
  • Logging calls with third party vendors (such as Microsoft, VMware, or Cisco) and escalate when necessary
  • Will be required to participate in an on-call technical escalation process outside of UK business hours
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest security and technology developments
  • Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders

Skills/Experience Required:

The following are strong recommendations and in most cases prerequisites of the role:

  • Strong knowledge and administration with M365, Microsoft and Core Infrastructure technologies
  • In depth and demonstratable experience providing best in class support to enterprise level customers using ITIL frameworks
  • In depth understanding of Microsoft systems (Windows 10, Server 2012 - 2019 and Endpoint Manager)
  • In depth understanding and experience in the configuration, management and maintenance of server systems and infrastructure
  • Experience with Cloud based technologies (O365, Azure, Mimecast)
  • Experience in performing Infrastructure upgrades and maintenance activity
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical troubleshooting skills and ability
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex, technical, multi-site and multi-disciplinary problems and incidents
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Experience with Service & Support desk ticket handling within SLAs
  • Excellent communications skills with a positive and proactive attitude towards customer issues
  • Experience or an Interest with Security toolsets (vulnerability scanning, EDR, EPP)
  • Technical capacity to secure/lockdown infrastructure (M365, Server OS, Desktop OS)
