What we’re looking for 

Someone to be accountable for providing timely and accurate financial reporting of the Fleet Optimization (FO) and Fleet Management (FM) departments for our OneOcean business.  The role will manage two accountants and one billing manager while ensuring timely and accurate delivery, enabling each business to fully understand financial performance compared to budget, latest forecast and prior year.  The role will take a lead on improving finance processes and bringing back inhouse the finance processing for C-MAP Norway.  The successful candidate will work with key stakeholders across OneOcean and the LR Group in sales, operations, human resources and finance.

The role 

• Ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual performance is accurately reported within published timetables including relevant commentary and analysis
• Own the month-end of FO and FM from start to finish, identifying areas for improvement
• Consolidation and rationalisation of financial processes and activities to align with the wider group
• Develop a single set of reports for the FO and FM businesses alongside the OneOcean central finance team
• Ensure that the balance sheet is accurate and communicate any risks and opportunities with the general ledger team
• Respond to audit queries in relation to profit and loss and balance sheet movements ensuring the responses are concise and reflect the risk to the reported results
• Responsibility for the preparation of local sales tax and compliance submissions, with support from local advisors and central team

 What you bring 

• Degree qualified with a management accounting / commercial accounting background; qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with experience of operating in an international finance function
• Experience of ERP and MIS systems at the ‘hands on’ level (BPC an advantage), Advanced Excel (Not Macro)
• Budgeting and forecasting experience gained in a multinational business
• Ability to identify and understand the key financial drivers within specific businesses and commercial ventures
• Have a ‘hands on’ approach, visible across the businesses with good communication and other interpersonal skills and engage at all levels across the business in a business partnering role
• Always adopts a solution-based approach and can take the initiative and responsibility for completing tasks
