Role purpose:

To provide high quality FP&A support and analysis at a global level across M&O. Key responsibilities include consolidation and reporting of monthly management accounts and the budget and forecast process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the monthly consolidation and analysis of the area and central business stream results across M&O.
  • Production of the monthly M&O global financial results performance report.
  • Ownership of the monthly flash process.
  • Key support in the production of the quarterly business review packs, including P&L tables plus analysis of certain key M&O areas such as New Con revenue confidence.
  • Ownership of the budget and forecast process for M&O, ensuring reporting and systems are set up to enable a smooth process.
  • High level of understanding of the In-Service survey forecast process and therefore able to apply additional advice and support as required.
  • Ownership of ATQs (Authorisation To Quote) including maintenance as the business develops and updates for new cost rates.
  • Production and maintenance of BPC reports required by both the central finance team and the area finance team for monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Production and commentary on monthly M&O dashboard and weekly hours and invoicing reports.
  • Co-ownership with the Lead Business Controller of the monthly M&O True Up process including liaising with auditors as required.
  • Ownership of calculation of various other monthly P&L adjustments
  • Drive improvements in our reporting capability through available tools including BPC, Power BI and ByD.
  • Key liaison point with the FBPs for any reporting and process queries.
  • Ability to cross support across the Reporting Analyst team for Maritime Performance Services (MPS), Global Functions, Group Programmes, Board and ELT reporting as required.
  • Ad hoc support on other projects as required.
  • To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • To mentor/coach other employees, as appropriate, to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.


To be considered

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • High level of IT literacy – SAP ByD experience advantageous
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Experience of working in an FP&A environment
