What we’re looking for 

 

The Head of Stakeholder Engagement & Impact is responsible for leading the Hub’s efforts to build strong relationships with external stakeholders, enhance our public presence, and ensure our programs of work influence key areas within the maritime industry and government sectors. This role will oversee marketing, communications, impact measurement, and stakeholder relations, ensuring that the Hub becomes a well-known and influential entity in the global maritime decarbonization space.

The role 

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive stakeholder engagement and impact strategy that aligns with the Hub’s mission and objectives. 
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor the Stakeholder Engagement & Impact Team, ensuring cohesive and effective collaboration across marketing, communications, impact management, and stakeholder relations.
  • External Influence: Position the Hub as a thought leader in maritime decarbonization by driving visibility, building strategic partnerships, and engaging with key industry and government stakeholders.
  • Marketing & Communications: Oversee all marketing and communications efforts, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all channels, including digital, social media, events, and publications.
  • Impact Measurement: Ensure that the Hub’s impact is effectively tracked, analyzed, and communicated to stakeholders, demonstrating the success and influence of our programs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry leaders, government agencies, and partners, ensuring the Hub’s influence in key areas necessary to deliver on its mission.
  • Event Management: Coordinate and oversee strategic events, conferences, and workshops that elevate the Hub’s profile and foster collaboration with key stakeholders.

 

Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Eliminate or minimise employee's exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LR activities.
  • Manage your own and your team's compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventative action as necessary and suggesting and implementing improvement activities

 

  What you bring 

  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, marketing, communications, or impact management, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving results and fostering collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective engagement and impact strategies.
  • Familiarity with the maritime industry, sustainability, or decarbonization is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in impact measurement and reporting.
