The LRF internal engagement manager is responsible for increasing awareness of and internal engagement around all of the LRF’s activities.

They will lead on all internal communications for the LRF, across the LR Group. They will work closely with colleagues in the LRF to raise the profile of the LRF across the organisation, communicating the story of the LRF and Group as part of our wider corporate narrative, explaining the activities of the LRF and importantly, driving engagement around what it means to be a social purpose organisation. They will sit within the Group Internal Communications team to ensure alignment but be embedded into the LRF in order to fully understand their activities and be able to effectively communicate to a global workforce in a clear and measurable way.



  • Develop and deliver creative campaigns and communications plans to help increase understanding and engagement of LR’s social purpose and the work of the Foundation. This includes writing engaging content and finding impactful stories as well as managing the LRF Connect page and Yammer content.
  • Take the lead on communications for the “Pathway to Impact” project which is designed to engage colleagues in the work of the LRF. Lead the global launch and area execution.
  • Take the lead on communications for the LRF’s 10 Year Anniversary in 2022. This will include a range of activities such as organising roadshows, creating content, engaging with senior leaders, creating videos etc.
  • Work closely with the LRF Strategic Director of Communications to ensure a joined up approach between LRF internal and external communications.
  • A trusted member of the team, able to work on sometimes confidential and sensitive projects to ensure our communications approach considers employee impacts. 
  • Work closely with the IC team in a flexible way; covering work for other colleagues when they are on leave or need additional support
  • Pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness of best practice. Implement this ensuring that LR internal communications demonstrate best industry practice.


To be considered

  • Degree level education with an appropriate post-graduate or professional qualification.
  • Significant experience in an internal communications role.
  • A proven track record in developing and implementing internal communications plans.
  • Excellent writer across a variety of channels. Able to flex style and tone
  • Excellent spoken communication and influencing skills with senior business leaders.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines / prioritise workload.
  • A strong team player who is able to win consensus and “get stuck in.”.
  • Specific knowledge and experience of online and offline communications techniques.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a virtual team spread across the UK.
  • The ideal candidate will have previously worked an internal communications role within a global organisation of more than 2000 employees and will have experienced a matrix management structure.
